Welcome to the online home of the

Celebration Singers!

Now onto part two of our 2016-2017 Season.

We've had a very busy and successful 2016 holiday season with performances that included two offerings of our traditional Christmas concert and a special presentation of Handel's "Messiah" Sing-Along performed in our new venue, the Old Bridge United Methodist Church.   Again we were privileged to entertain at the annual Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association (LRPRA) Holiday Dinner.  However, the crowning musical jewel of our Fall season was a spectacular offering of Handel's "Messiah" Sing-Along at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts-Millennium Stage. The massive event was under the spirited direction of Nancia D'Alimonte and found us performing with over 200 choral singers and soloists, the full The Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, and a massive audience of over 2000 "Handel-Maniacs."  What an amazing experience and honor it was to be able to perform in that hallowed place with those incredible musicians.  We have pictures of all these events posted in the "Sights" tab above.  Thank you all for supporting us and the charities we fund.  We hope you enjoyed listening to the music as much as we enjoyed performing.

As we continue our 7th year of performing glorious music for you, we are eager to continue preparations for what is certain to be a series of spectacular musical events.  Our next major concert, in March, will be Schubert's "Mass in G."  The Celebration Singers will be accompanied by several instrumentalists and the performance will include the four traditional soloists.  It will be a very moving event.

As usual, we will wrap up the year with our traditional "Singers' Choice" concert.  Each piece is recommended by our members and can potentially span the musical spectrum from classical, religious, pop, folk, and who knows what else - talk about variety!

We hope you have an opportunity to attend all of our remaining 2017 concerts and we are confident you will enjoy the music as much as we do.  The season will provide you with many evenings of worthwhile entertainment and, with your help, an opportunity to support the local charities that we sponsor.  Don't forget, our concerts are free and 100% of your donations go to these fine charities.  (See the "About" Tab above for details about these charities.)

The dates and locations for this season's concerts are listed in the column at the right.  Schedule and location changes can occur, new pictures are posted after each concert, and choir news is always fun to hear so...

...Check back often!

Remember! If you would like to sing with us, select the "About" tab for more on how to join our group.  We are always looking for dedicated and talented singers who enjoy good music and have a desire to share that joy with our community.
